• I have been involved in basketball in Werribee since 1979.
• Founder of St Andrews Basketball Club in 1980-81,
• Played basketball at the Royal Melbourne Show Grounds and at Albert Park and Werribee, I have coached Junior and Senior teams in championship as well as domestic level.

I have been on many committees over the last 50 years in Werribee and have refereed many levels of basketball games.

I have also served on the following committees:

• Senior Domestic Committee as President and Vice President,
• Referees President – Adviser – Registrar – Games Coordinator,
• Werribee Centre Limited as President of the fund raising committee for stage two of the Rec Centre Stadium

I enjoy all aspects of basketball whether it’s refereeing under 8’s to seniors or helping children find a team or a club, there is nothing better than to see children playing basketball and having fun.

In 2024 Peter was award Life Member of Wyndham Basketball Association for all his efforts in volunteering over the years.

Growing up playing basketball for St Andrews Basketball Club and Werribee Devils Juniors it felt natural to choose St Andrews when my eldest was ready to join a club after completing a few terms with Aussie Hoops. I now have four children, Laila 13, Flynn 11 and Parker & Zach 7 all playing with St Andrews – with my eldest two also playing VJBL for Wyndham – so our family eat, sleep, breath basketball!! My husband Craig and I spend our days running them back and forth for trainings and games. 

I decided to join the committee in a couple of years ago to assist with running the club as without support from volunteers our kids wouldn’t be able to take the court and play the game they love. I am currently in the roles of Vice President however many hands make light work and we all help each other across the board.

I am married to Lachlan & we have 2 daughters, Mia & Olivia.

I played basketball all through my junior years within the Werribee Basketball Association & I am still playing seniors at Wyndham now.

Both of our girls play basketball both on a Domestic & at Representative level, which means basketball is pretty much our life.

Basketball is a sport where everyone knows everyone. The friends made through my junior years are still friends now. In fact, most of our kids are now playing together.

St Andrews Basketball Club is more like a family than a group of people coming together to just play/watch basketball. I love watching people interacting & having fun together doing the sport they love, which is one of the reasons I joined the Committee.

I originally joined as a general member, then Registrar & now currently I am in the role as Secretary & Treasurer. My attitude is, if we didn’t volunteer to help out our kids wouldn’t be able to play basketball.

Hi my name is Kerri Lovelock and I am the uniform coordinator for the club and am here to assist with all your uniform and merch needs.

I grew up in Werribee and started playing basketball for St Andrews as an under 12 and played in the green & gold right up until I moved interstate in my early 20’s. Once I returned to Werribee and my eldest daughter was old enough, she started playing with the club as an under 8, and now plays in u14’s. My youngest daughter has also now started playing with the club in under 8’s and I am the coach of that team.

I also, after a VERY long hiatus returned to the court myself last year with the St Andrews Belles women’s team which has been such good fun!

My name is Danielle Richardson and have been around basketball most of my life, I have fond memories of watching my father play as young child and then finding a love for the sport myself. I played with St Andrews for most of my juniors as well as a representative player for Werribee. Whilst I thought my basketball career was over in the last couple of months I have had the pleasure of joining the St Andrews ladies team and still have a run around on a Sunday night.

My daughter is also apart of St Andrews and has been playing with the club since she started in under 8’s as well as being a representative player for Wyndham.

Hi my name is Lauren Hadzic. I am a registrar at St Andrews basketball club. I was first introduced to basketball when my boys joined Aussie Hoops and then joined St Andrews basketball club shortly thereafter. I have since found myself really enjoying the game and got more involved with junior team coaching and team management. I am now a big supporter of basketball both as a sporting activity for the kids in the community and as a supporting fan of Melbourne United and Boston Celtics.
